| FAREWELL...
God has revealed to me that I need to give up my xanga. I won't be posting anymore. It was with good intention just to keep in touch and post my thoughts, ect. But I feel my time is best used away from the computer and more on my family. Even though I wasn't on much. A little is too much. Love Ya!!! | | |
| When your child does something straight from their heart... when they are told from God to bless someone and they do.... (not realizing yet that it was God speaking to them) when you had not one thing to do with it....and they took it upon themselves to follow through... is totally awesome!! Rahel did just that and I am so thrilled. It is unbelievable when you watch God move in your children. I love having nothing to do with it. Then I know it is real. Keep talking to my girls, God....

| Reading a book our cell leaders have encouraged (or asked) us to get. Always Enough by Rolland and Heidi Baker. I can't put it down!!! Their passion and drive to do God's work and spread the news of Jesus is awe-inspriring. They made a commitment to go wherever God sent them.... they wanted to go to the poorest of the poorest, to the dirtiest and disease filled corners of the world. That was where there heart is. They love the unlovely, they have compassion like noone I've ever heard of other that Jesus!! They have gotten dysentary, malaria, lice, scabies, pneumonia and unidentified viruses. Because they love those who have nothing. They hug the one's who most of us would pass by, they feel their pain, and they call them "OUR family". Are we ready????? Are we willing to get scabies?? Is our faith strong enough to stand up to witchcraft and violent gangs??? Will we say "yes" to wherever God wants us to go? I am SOOOO pathetic. What are we doing? Living our days one by one making sure our needs are met and we have all kinds of STUFF. After reading this book, and I am not finished yet, I feel embarrased. For a true eye-opener, get the book. It will change you. | | |
| Tuesday Evening we went to Meredeth Fiacco's wake. For those who don't know who she is, she is an 18 y.o. girl who overdosed at Plattsburgh State. She was a friend of Akaycia and Britt's. Al' s family knows the Fiacco's well. We waited in line 3 hours to see her family. When we finally got to Mickey and Stephanie, there was a feeling I got that is hard to explain. You know.... one of those "God" moments that you can't put in words? The funeral home was packed with people, all this mumbling, and chaos. People walking around with looks of disbelief, sadness, curiosity, worry... every emotion imaginable. I felt God saying " people, just STOP. Pay attention. STOP your talking and questions and "trying" to figure out "why". STOP!!!! KNOW ME!!! You don't have to know all the answers to all life's questions. Please pray for her family that this doesn';t destroy them. And... pay attention!! He said so!! | | |
| Saturday, April 13, 1985 8:32 am born to Albert and Tina, a girl, Akaycia Megan Groebler, 6lbs. 5oz 18 3/4 inches long. She was beautiful. Thick black hair. Tiny little body. ( and still is) She blessed our family and kept he Roberts' together. Kept us up all night for 2 years!! Made the whole family laugh to tears growing up. Had a giggle that came from her toes. Big brown eyes and hair that flowed to her bum at age 2. Wouldn't talk until she was 3! Then she didn't quit! Grew up to have Aunt Heather's "take charge" personality. Aunt MeMe wanted to keep her for her own. ( I let her borrow her.) As an adult she is very passionate and stands firm to her values. She has endured more that alot of people do in a lifetime. She is strong... yet fragile. She has brought blessing beyond anything she can imagine or understand. She is going to move mountains. Thank You, God for our daughter. | | |
